Jeff is married with Four Daughters and Six Grandchildren. He currently lives in Hideaway Lake Texas where he is an avid golfer. He is Chairman of the Board of the County Rehabilitation (half way house), on the Board of Directors for the Homeowners Association in Hideaway Lake, and an active church member of Green Acres Baptist Church, past President of the Men’s Golf Association, and a member of the American Legion, NRA and MOAA.
He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1964 from Texas Tech University and his JD degree from Texas Tech in 1972.
Since being licensed in 1972, Jeff has been actively engaged in a trial practice. His primary areas of practice involve criminal, domestic relations, civil, trial and wills and probate. Most of Jeff’s clients are small business owners, small corporations, and individuals. During his practice he has been lead counsel in over 150 jury trials in Federal Military, and State Courts including capital murder. He has also appeared as lead counsel before numerous judge alone cases and in mediated cases. He was in the United States Air Force for four years before Law School and for four years as a Judge Advocate, he was with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Easter District of Texas for four years as an Assistant United States Attorney. Jeff is licensed in the U.S. Supreme Court, Court of Claims, Court of Military Appeals, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal District Courts in Texas for the Norther, Western, and Eastern District of Texas, United States Magistrate Courts, The Eastern District of Texas, The Texas Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals, Texas Courts of Appeals, Civil Courts, District Courts, County Courts at Law, County Courts, Justice of the Peace Courts and Municipal Courts in Texas.
